It is crucial for the development of your business, as 91% of all consumers look up reviews online before buying. 1.Your business will be listed higher on the search engine results

We all know that when we are looking for something, anything really on Google, we very rarely bother looking beyond the first 1-2 pages. This is why it is so important to have your business listed as high as possible on the search engine results. The more (positive) reviews you have on both Google and third-party rating services, the bigger the chances that your business will be displayed before your competitors’. 

2. Customer reviews improve the click-through rates

In addition to being displayed first, Google’s 5-star rating next to your search result is a clear indication if a potential customer would click on your company’s link.  In fact, 56% of all potential customers would click on a link if it has customer reviews displayed. Furthermore, if the business has a good star rating, the percentage increases to 59% (4-star) or 69% (5-star).

3. Positive reviews build trust with potential customers

Furthermore, displaying customer reviews on your business’ page makes you seem much more trustworthy in the eyes of your potential clients. A survey conducted in 2017 found out that if even only one customer review is displayed on the page of the company, 83% of potential customers would find you trustworthy, compared to if no reviews displayed.

Moreover, nine out of ten customers make the decision if they can trust the company or not after reading at least 10 reviews! Nevertheless, these reviews need to be recent, so you need to keep a good hold on your customer feedback management. Having as many reviews as possible increases the feeling of trust, as those reviews transform into referrals. Therefore, keep asking your clients to give you online reviews. In fact, 7 out of 10 clients would give feedback if they were asked!

4. Improves landing page conversions

A Local Consumer Review Study found out that 37% of all interviewees would visit the business’ website and 17% will physically visit the place after they have read good reviews. Furthermore, when customer reviews are displayed on the landing page, clients are much more likely to choose their services. The study also found out that 74% of all customers are very likely to contact the company if there is a customer review displayed on their home page.

5. Customer Feedback can help improve your business

Many companies get concerned that they might receive a negative review which will damage their brand image, but both positive and negative feedback can help you improve your business. Listening to your customers’ complaints shows that you value their opinions and experience. Negative reviews can also help you rethink products which might not be working as well as you expected or services which are not needed.
